Our sawmill has been operating in Japan for over 75 years specializing in the production of charred cedar timber.
Every step of our process takes place in Japan, ensuring that our products are authentically Japanese from start to finish, which makes Japan Yakisugi the only company in the world to provide 100% handcrafted Yakisugi entirely made in Japan.
From harvesting the wood in local forests to processing it in our own sawmill, to carefully burning, cutting, and delivering the final product, we maintain complete control to uphold the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
